Production Challenge #10: Dark & Minimal
This week’s production challenge is to write a track that is on the darker side with a minimalistic feel to it. Keep it simple, but convey the feeling. Create a track in the key of “F” and at 170bpm.
Production Challenge #9: Happy
This week’s production challenge is to write a track that is in a happy or positive mood. There are NO restrictions on BPM or key, however, we do have one creative constraint: your recorded voice has to be incorporated into your tune somehow. You can sing over the tune, talk, re-sample yourself, whatever you want, get creative, as long as your recorded voice is in the track.
Production Challenge #8: Cinematic
Production Challenge #8 is ready to go! This week’s challenge is “Cinematic”. You must use at least 5 of the preselected samples, BPM and given key. The idea is to help you focus on the writing process and less on sample selection and sound design.
